Synopsis
Although the modern examination of Japanese law has fo-cused largely on business law, the criminal law and proce-dure of Japan remains very worthy of study. Japanese crim-inal law is an interesting mixture of common law and civil law. Moreover, there are many features that are found on-ly in Japanese law. This book is edited to support the aca-demic exchange between non-Japanese and Japanese scholars. We believe it is not a simple glossary but contains many annotations to facilitate the understanding of specific Japanese terms. For this purpose, non-Japanese and Japa-nese specialists collaborated in its production.
